Unmanned Firewood and Wood Sales
We sell offcuts left over from the process of making veneer. They can be used for a variety of purposes, such as for camping or in wood stoves, or for making woodworking accessories and carved wooden figurines. The firewood we use is oak, a maple tree that burns for a long time and is popular with campers.
Until the firewood and timber sales office is established
Logs are collected from Japan and overseas and are shipped to the market after decades of time and weather. When processing this high-quality material as described above, various scraps are produced.

Offcuts in the first stage

During the sawing process, the rounded outer sections of the log are cut away to form a square timber.
These portions were previously discarded, but are now repurposed for use in camping, wood stoves, and pizza ovens.
Offcuts in the second stage

At the final stage of slicing square-sawn timber into veneer,
a remaining section approximately 18 mm thick is left behind.
This piece is known as “Tsukijiri” in Japanese veneer production.
Although these pieces were often discarded in the past,
they are now repurposed for a variety of uses, including small wood crafts, placemats, cutting boards,
or split into kindling for fire-starting.

Firewood is essential for firewood and wood stoves.
Oak trees have dense trunks that make them difficult to catch fire, but once a fire starts, the big advantage of oak is that it lasts a long time. Cedar and pine contain a lot of oil and air, making them easy to burn and suitable for kindling.
